After deciding that we were staying in Hertfordshire, and that we were hoping to have an outdoor ceremony, we spent a long time looking at what seems like hundreds of potential venues throughout the county. Everywhere we "sort of liked" seemed to be a choice between grounds and interiors. Just as we were beginning to think we would have to compromise on one for the other ... we found Offley Place.

We both knew immediately that this was it. The Rose Garden is quintessentially English and the perfect complement to the Scottish Thistle. This has become the theme for our wedding - watch out for White Yorkshire Roses and Purple Scottish Thistles, as well as some less subtle reminders of our heritage on the day. We love it!

As we've booked glorious weather for our day, the ceremony will be held in the Rose Garden. Please note that only biodegradable confetti is allowed to be thrown.
